Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon I always add an extra dash
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks) softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 package of butterscotch morsels

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon
  • In a large bowl, beat butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture
  • Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels
  • Using a tablespoon, drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets
  • If you want chewy cookies, bake for 7-8 minutes. For crispy cookies, bake for 9-10 minutes.
  • Cool completely on sheets for 2 minutes then transfer to wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy!
