- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon I always add an extra dash
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks) softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 package of butterscotch morsels
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon
In a large bowl, beat butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract
Gradually beat in flour mixture
Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels
Using a tablespoon, drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets
If you want chewy cookies, bake for 7-8 minutes. For crispy cookies, bake for 9-10 minutes.
Cool completely on sheets for 2 minutes then transfer to wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy!
